Privacy Policy

3DR Laboratories makes every effort to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all sensitive personal data that 3DR receives, creates, maintains, or transmits in the course of working with our clients.

3DR serves exclusively as a Business Associate or Processor by providing Advanced Visualization, post-processing services to Covered Entities/Controllers including hospitals, medical centers, radiology practices, multi-specialty clinics and independent imaging centers.  As such, 3DR has essentially no direct contact with the patients of those institutions.  Additionally, 3DR does not possess or provide long-term archival storage of these patients’ complete medical records.  Rather, only small portions of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI)/Personal Data is provided to 3DR in the form of header records that are part of the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) electronic files that are transmitted to 3DR by the institutions as part of the case processing and order entry procedures.  This transmitted electronic data and small amounts of manual PHI/Personal Data that are provided by the institution's order entry and day-to-day communications processes with 3DR’s technologists, constitute the total amount of individual patient PHI/Personal Data possessed by 3DR – in either manual or electronic form – at any particular point in time. As such, unless informed by our clients, 3DR has no way to determine where a patient resides, only where the study was originated.

We do not accept imaging from private individuals.  We only work with institutions with which we have contractual agreements.

This corporate web site is hosted by Squarespace and has no connection to any 3DR applications and has no access to or storage of PHI/Patient Personal Data concerning health.
