David E. Ferguson is an Industrial and Systems Engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the application of information systems technologies to solving complex business problems.
He recently retired from Capital Assurance Corporation, a $1.7 Billion life insurance holding company - where he served as Chief Corporate Development Officer. In addition, Mr. Ferguson supervised the firm’s Information Technology resources and business process reengineering activities.
Prior to joining Capital Assurance Corporation he was Vice-Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Inviva, Inc., a start-up life insurance venture that developed breakthrough, Internet technology that enabled the industry's first truly paperless, Internet life insurance policy and variable annuity contracts.
Other segments of his professional career include positions at ARM Financial Group, Ernst & Young (where was the firm’s National Insurance Industry Consulting Partner), the James Graham Brown Foundation (as CEO) and Capital Holding Corporation.
He is a founding member of FGR, LLC a private investment firm that invests in startup ventures such as 3DR Laboratories. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial & Systems Engineering and a Master of Science (Operations Research) from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a NASA Fellow.
Robert E. Falk, MD
Founder-Managing Director Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Falk has been a practicing radiologist in Louisville, Kentucky since 1987. He completed his medical training, including medical school, internship, radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. In addition to an interest in Neuroradiology, he has expertise in body imaging, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular disease and advanced 3D image manipulation.
Dr. Falk is past president of the Jewish Hospital Medical Staff and former vice chair of the Jewish Hospital Healthcare Services Board of Trustees. He has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of The Physicians Incorporated in Louisville, and as the physician representative for Jewish Hospital to The Leadership Institute.
Dr. Falk founded 3DR in 2005 and still maintains a busy private practice while devoting more and more time to building 3DR.
Christy Mutchler RT(R), (CT)
Director of Lab Operations
Mrs. Mutchler has more than 20 years experience in Radiologic Technology. She is a registered technologist in both Radiology and Computed Tomography. Christy received her Associates degree in Radiologic Technology at the University of Louisville as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine.
Once completing her degrees, Christy spent the next 14 years at the University of Louisville Hospital where she was trained in Cat Scan and 3D applications. She has continued to work for KentuckyOne Health Jewish Hospital for 17 years, including 8 years in MRI. Interestingly, Jewish Hospital also provides emergency treatment for sports injuries at college sporting events and Christy was and is one of the team members providing emergency diagnostic services at these events.
Christy was an associate professor in the Radiologic Technology Program at the University of Louisville and helped in their transition to the Jefferson Community College radiology program. Most importantly, because of this diverse and well rounded experience, Christy brings a unique perspective to 3DR with her sincere desire to produce a quality image for the best diagnostic purposes.
Director of Information Technology
Mr. Herbener is an Information Technology professional with more than 25 years of experience developing and deploying computer systems for a wide variety of industries.
Prior to joining 3DR, he served as a consultant for various for-profit and non-profit organizations, developing, and presenting computer classes. Previously, Mr. Herbener designed and led the development for building the technology platform that allowed Inviva, Inc., a start-up life insurance venture, to automate the underwriting and sales of life insurance policies.
Prior to joining Inviva, Mr. Herbener held positions at ARM Financial Group as Senior Vice President of Applied Research and Ernst & Young where he provided consulting services to small and large businesses and a large consumer products company where he developed analytical and sales force management systems.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from Vassar College.
Co-Founder, Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Lillig’s career in healthcare spans nearly 27 years, starting with Becton-Dickinson Corporation, Inc. Mr. Lillig spent seven years with National Health Laboratories, Inc., a national blood and pathology laboratory owned by the Revlon Health Care Group, where he delivered average annual sales increases of 43 percent, increasing revenue to $12 million over seven years.
After leaving National Health Laboratories, Inc., Mr. Lillig co-founded Syscor, Inc., a holding company for Quantum Laboratories, Inc., (a clinical blood testing and pathology laboratory), Intelysis, Inc., (a physician office management software company) and Asterion, LLC (a UNIX-based ASP model software company for IPA, IPO, MSO and managed care organizations). Quantum Laboratories, was sold to National Health Laboratories, Inc. in 1995. After successfully raising $20 million for Asterion, LLC, the company was sold to The TriZetto Group, Inc. in 1998.
Upon the completion of the sale of those two companies, Mr. Lillig spent several years consulting to pharmaceutical, clinical research and medical device companies before joining MetaCyte Business Lab in 2003. He co-founded the Company while serving as Director of Emerging Development at MetaCyte.
Mr. Lillig holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Don Cundiff CNMT, RT(R)
Business Development Director
Mr. Cundiff has more than 20 years of experience in running, developing, and selling high-tech Radiology Solutions. He studied at The University of Louisville, earning an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
After graduating, Mr. Cundiff spent the first seven years of his career in a number of clinical and supervisory roles at Audubon Hospital, part of Norton Healthcare. He was then hired by Molecular Imaging Corporation as a staff PET technologist and eventually was promoted to Eastern Zone Operations Manager. Several years later, Don accepted a position with GE Medical Systems as Sales Specialist, PET and Cyclotron Sales. During his time with GE, he managed and developed more than $7MM in new PET and PET/CT scanner business.
Due to the success at GE Medical, Mr. Cundiff accepted a position with Neo-PET, LLC, a clinical and radiopharmaceutical company based in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time at Neo-PET, Don helped to generate more than $2MM in new business and helped to organically grow existing business.
Finally, Mr. Cundiffwas approached by 3DR Labs, LLC to become a Regional Sales Director. Having a love for Louisville, he left Neo-PET and accepted the position with 3DR. For the past seven years Don has worked closely with Senior Management at 3DR to develop and implement growth strategies that have lead 3DR from concept phase to a profitable company with the a strong balance sheet.
