Advanced Image Education

The rapidly expanding use of 3D imaging has created a need for efficient ways to train technologists and other medical professionals in the post-processing skills they need to use this technology. To help meet this need, 3DR Laboratories has launched 3DR Academy.

Education will take place utilizing online Internet courseware. Completing the coursework, a radiation technologist can acquire all the required training in subject areas such as cross-sectional anatomy and volumetric image processing to become competent in 3D image processing.

3DR Academy has a goal to provide the industry’s most extensive and professional online training curriculum to enhance and train technologists, radiologists and physicians with the techniques needed to effectively perform 3D renderings and manipulations.

3DR Academy offers you the opportunity to earn a certificate in Volumetric Medical Imaging in partnership with Jefferson Community and Technical College which is the only institution of higher learning in the United States that offers such a certificate.

At present, there are no recognized standards for volumetric imaging technologists in the United States. In conjunction with the development of its training program, 3DR Academy is working collaborating with the American Society of Radiological Technologists (ASRT) and the American College of Radiology (ACR) to lead the development and recognition of training standards for advanced image processing.
